Description
Sailing courses introduce participants to the basics of sailing while maintaining a fun and safe atmosphere. Participants share a boat with another student and can expect to learn how to rig and de-rig the boats, handle a boat, tack (turn) and perform capsize recovery.
The Marine Eco Camp looks at the environment from Spanish Banks to Kits Beach. It helps kids understand the history of the area and the geography and evolution of the foreshore. The program is interactive and includes classroom sessions, beach activities and on-water exercises close to shore. Each week will include a nature walk, shoreline cleanup, water sampling, weather forecasting and a guest speaker.
